Do I bring my own shotgun for bird hunting in Uruguay?
This is a very personal decision. The best duck gun in our opinion is the one you have in your hand at the time! All of our trips come complete with Beretta and/or Beretta semi-autos included in the package price, so you need not bring your own duck hunting shotgun if you do not wish to do so. Some of our clients would never consider shooting any other gun than the one that they use all time on their other waterfowl hunting trips; therefore they do not object to paying additional checked baggage fees, and country fees that are required for duck hunting in Uruguay with one’s own shotgun.
Please note that all of our duck hunting shotguns are 12ga. semi-autos in black finish, and that we do not use magnum shells in Uruguay. All hunting is done with lead shot #5—just like the old days of duck hunting.
Really, all one needs to do in order to go on a Uruguay duck hunting trip is pack one’s bags with the requisite gear that is personal in nature, and we will handle the rest.

Many want to know - where can I go in Uruguay for all the bird hunting?
Well, Artigas is the place. Best to combine with the fishing guys or gals as the golden dorado fishing is not to be missed and is available right next door.
You will shoot ducks in the AM and then spend the rest of the day shooting pigeons and Perdiz, the Uruguay upland bird.
Hunting with dogs and getting a good taste of all the birds, this Uruguay destination is not to be missed. Again, add a day or 2 of golden dorado fishing.
