The limit will remain at 10 birds per shooter, per day, and the use of dogs to hunt them will, of course, remain permissible. In fact, Perdiz hunting is the only hunting option available for upland birds other than a very limited area in the Patagonia region of Argentina where one can shoot Valley Quail. Please note that the best Uruguay bird hunt location for Perdiz is near the cities of Colonia and Mercedes. Here, even the most average shooter will have no problem reaching his or her limit in just an hour or two of walking.
When you plan a trip to go bird hunting in Uruguay for Perdiz, make sure to come properly equipped: bring your upland hunting vest, an orange hat (recommended, but not required by law), and a good pair of waterproof boots. Standing water can pile up in pastures, and soak through boots that are not waterproof (not just water resistant), making the rest of your Uruguay bird hunting day miserable.
